The company serves leisure travelers, business professionals, gaming enthusiasts, and event planners primarily in the United States including the Las Vegas Strip, regional operations in Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, and Ohio; Macau via MGM China Holdings Limited; and Europe through subsidiaries like LeoVegas Group and LV Lion Holding Limited. Its 50/50 joint venture BetMGM provides sports betting and online gaming in numerous North American jurisdictions under brands including BetMGM and partypoker. In recent developments, LeoVegas, an MGM subsidiary, acquired Tipico's U.S. sportsbook and online casino platform in 2024 to enhance proprietary sports betting technology across international markets excluding BetMGM; MGM announced in October 2025 an agreement to sell the operations of MGM Northfield Park, Ohio's largest gaming property by revenue, to Clairvest for $546 million with closing expected in the first half of 2026; and in June 2024, MGM partnered with Playtech to launch proprietary live casino content from Las Vegas. The company pursues targeted expansion in Asia including an integrated resort in Japan and emphasizes sustainability through its Focused on What Matters philosophy.
